Gyotaku - Fish Printing

Tuesday, September 9, 2025 5 pm to 7 pm

Location: Monongahela Area Library

Fish Printing with Pigeon Creek Watershed - Tuesday, Sept. 9th @ 5pm - Join the Pigeon Creek Watershed as they host a Gyotaku (fish printing) program using fish molds native to our area. The Japanese art form Gyotaku is a practice which dates back to the mid 1800s. This form of nature printing was used by fishermen to record their catches but has also become an art form of its own. You'll make your very own fish print during the program and learn about the Pigeon Creek Watershed organization. Please call the library to register. 724-258-5409
